1. Information We Access and Process

MakeMyTube accesses and processes information only when needed to provide extension functionality, authentication, personalization, productivity tools, and subscription services.

Google Account Information

When you choose to sign in with Google, MakeMyTube may receive:

MakeMyTube requests only the Google identity scopes: openid, email, and profile.

MakeMyTube processes information available on YouTube pages so that recommendation filtering, saved-video tools, notes, trusted channels, progress tracking, and interface controls can operate.

2. Information Stored in Browser Storage

A significant portion of MakeMyTube data is stored using Chrome extension storage.

This may include:

• MakeMyTube settings.
• Recommendation preferences.
• Selected tags.
• Blocked tags.
• Trusted channels.
• Saved videos.
• Timestamped notes.
• Pomodoro information.
• Watch-time statistics.
• Progress information.
• Subscription status cached for the interface.

3. Local Import and Export

MakeMyTube may allow users to manually export supported video, progress, notes, or related extension information to a local JSON file.

Compatible backup files can later be imported to restore supported information after reinstalling the extension or moving to another supported browser environment.

Users are responsible for protecting backup files stored on their devices.

4. MakeMyTube Backend

MakeMyTube uses backend infrastructure hosted using Cloudflare Workers and related Cloudflare services.

Backend information may include:

• Google account identifier.

• MakeMyTube subscription plan.

• Razorpay subscription identifiers.

5. Payments and Razorpay

MakeMyTube Pro payments are processed using Razorpay.

Users may be redirected to Razorpay's payment interface when purchasing MakeMyTube Pro.

Razorpay processes payment information according to its own privacy and security practices.

MakeMyTube receives only information needed to manage subscription status and billing periods.

6. Google Sign-In

MakeMyTube uses Google OAuth for authentication.

Google Sign-In is used to:

• Verify your identity.
• Create or identify your MakeMyTube account.
• Display basic account information.
• Associate your account with MakeMyTube Pro access.

MakeMyTube does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or unrelated Google account content.

7. Chrome Extension Permissions

Storage

Used to store extension preferences, selected tags, saved videos, notes, progress information, Pomodoro data, and account state.

Identity

Used for Google authentication.

Alarms

Used for Pomodoro timers and related timed functionality.

Declarative Net Request

Used by MakeMyTube's optional advertisement-reduction functionality through packaged browser rules.

YouTube Host Access

Used to provide recommendation filtering, saved-video tools, interface controls, notes, progress tracking, trusted-channel functionality, and other MakeMyTube features.

Backend Access

Used for authentication and MakeMyTube Pro subscription management.

MakeMyTube does not download and execute remotely hosted JavaScript as extension application logic.

Extension logic is packaged with the Chrome extension.

Information stored in Chrome extension storage may remain until it is cleared, reset, overwritten, removed through MakeMyTube controls, or removed according to Chrome's extension-storage behavior.

Account and subscription information may be retained as reasonably necessary to:

• Prevent duplicate payment processing.

13. User Choices and Data Deletion

Users can remove many types of locally stored MakeMyTube information through extension controls.

Users may also uninstall MakeMyTube at any time.
